Job Description: The Program Facilitator plays a key role in the day-to-day coordination and effectiveness of adult education programming, ensuring that services are delivered efficiently and aligned with program goals. This position supports student intake, enrollment, assessment, scheduling, and data management, while serving as a central point of communication among staff, students, and community partners. By maintaining accurate records and supporting compliance with state and federal
requirements, the Program Facilitator helps ensure that programs run smoothly and that students are well-positioned for success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required
- State of CT Adult Education teaching certification (#106) preferred
- Experience with adult education data systems (e.g., CASAS, LACES, or similar) preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and data management skills required
- Experience with state or federally funded programs (WIOA, NRS reporting) preferred
- Schedule follows the academic year calendar, with some evenings required
- Limited required hours during summer months
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Student Intake, Assessment, and Data
- Oversees student intake, enrollment, and assessment processes, including CASAS eTests
- Ensures compliance with Connecticut Competency System (CCS) and state assessment requirements
- Maintains accurate and organized student records in alignment with state and federal guidelines
- Reviews data reports with the Director and Data Manager to ensure accuracy and inform program decisions
- Coordinates CCS implementation and provides training and ongoing technical assistance to staff Compliance and Professional Engagement
- Attends required state meetings, including Data Administrator and Facilitator meetings
- Supports and helps coordinate state compliance reviews
- Represents the program in state and regional facilitator networks
Program Operations and Logistics
- Assists in the development of program schedules, calendars, and course offerings
- Coordinates purchasing and inventory of testing materials (e.g., CASAS eTests and test books)
- Serves as a key point of communication for students, staff, and partners
- Holds primary responsibility for Connecticut Competency System (CCS) coordination (state-required assessment and data system)
