Responsibilities
- Assist ophthalmologists during examinations and procedures by preparing the necessary instruments and equipment.
- Conduct preliminary tests, including visual acuity assessments, tonometry, and other diagnostic tests.
- Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing their concerns and answering questions.
- Ensure the cleanliness and aseptic technique of examination rooms and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance patient flow and improve overall office efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous experience in patient care or a medical setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy related to the eye and common ocular conditions is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
