The Norwich Free Academy is hiring a Long Term Substitute Educational Paraprofessional from approximately December 1, 2025 through June 11, 2026 to support students who attend the Norwich Free Academy.
Minimum Requirements
Bilingual in English and Spanish and/or Haitian Creole
Please attach a detailed cover letter along with a resume, transcripts, and three recent letters of recommendation (within 1 year). All required documents must be submitted with application to be considered for the position.

- Associates Degree or passing score on the ParaPro test.
- Preferred experience working with students.
- Provide assistance to students under the supervision of special education teachers.
- Ability to work with special education students in a classroom setting and ability to follow teachers and related staff instructions in regard to work modifications and behavior plans.
- Strong behavior management skills.
- Ability to present material in a clear and effective manner.
- Ability to help organize content area information.
- Ability to consistently implement instructional and behavioral programs.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by administration.
