What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant/Substitute Coordinator position at Norwich Free Academy?
The Norwich Free Academy is seeking an Administrative Assistant/Substitute Coordinator to assist with day to day activities. This is a ten-month position with benefits as outlined in the 10 month employee handbook. High school diploma with experience in an educational setting preferred.
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
- Receive notification from faculty and contact substitutes in an accurate and timely manner to ensure all classrooms have coverage during school day.
- Maintain accurate lists of approved substitutes.
- Communicate any problems or concerns to the Substitute Administrator.
- Microsoft Office Professional, Google Suite and PowerSchool proficiency and/or high comfort level with learning technology applications.
- Ability to provide a wide variety of secretarial, administrative, and clerical duties.
- Skill in data management; efficiency and attention to details; highly organized.
- Pleasant telephone manner, personable and courteous demeanor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
