Job Summary
Will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of light and heavy trucks, trailers, cranes, and other industrial equipment used in our precast concrete production and delivery operations. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem-solver with hands-on experience in diesel & hydraulic systems.
Qualifications to Include
- High school diploma or GED; completion of a postsecondary diesel technology program or equivalent vocational training preferred.
- 3 years of hands-on experience as a diesel mechanic, ideally with tractor trailer and/or construction equipment.
- Valid Class A or B CDL preferred; clean driver's license required.
- ASE certifications (e.g., T-series for trucks) or equivalent diesel engine certifications highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics, electrical systems, hydraulics, and air brake systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and service manuals.
- Proficiency with diagnostic software, hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly and work in confined spaces or at heights up to 20 feet.
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and exposure to outdoor weather, noise, dust
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and physical exam.
