Café Supervisor (Bagel Shop)

Job Summary:
The Café Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the bagel shop, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining product quality, and supporting staff performance. This role acts as a bridge between management and front-line employees, helping create an efficient, friendly, and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily café operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Lead and support team members during shifts (cashiers, prep staff, baristas, etc.)
• Ensure high standards of customer service and resolve customer concerns promptly
• Monitor food preparation to maintain quality, freshness, and consistency of bagels and menu items
• Enforce food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
• Train new employees on procedures, POS systems, and customer service expectations
• Manage shift scheduling and break coverage
• Handle cash management, including register balancing and deposits
• Track inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies and ingredients
• Ensure compliance with company policies and health regulations

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in food service or café environment (supervisory experience preferred)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
• Basic math and cash handling skills
• Knowledge of food safety practices (ServSafe certification is a plus)
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
