Norview Marina Properties Inc. is seeking a reliable and experienced Lead Dock Hand to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working on the waterfront, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team in a fast-paced marina environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and assist dock hands with daily marina operations
- Welcome and assist boaters with docking, line handling, fueling, and marina services
- Manage slip assignments, reservations, and customer communications using Dockwa
- Ensure docks, grounds, and marina facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Monitor marina safety and enforce marina policies and procedures
- Coordinate arrivals, departures, and transient vessel accommodations
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks and report repair needs
- Support marina operations during weekends, holidays, and peak boating seasons
- Provide outstanding customer service to marina guests, tenants, and visitors
Qualifications
- Previous marina, boating, or dock experience preferred
- Experience using Dockwa or similar marina management software preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of boating terminology, line handling, and marina operations
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical labor
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented attitude
