Purpose of Position:
Under direct supervision, the AHEC (Area Health Education Center) Intern supports the Northwest Alaska Area Health Education Center in delivering structured programs for students and certificate-based trainings for community members. This role combines clerical support with hands-on program facilitation to introduce participants to healthcare careers, strengthening the local healthcare pipeline through early exposure and foundational skill-building.

Essential Functions:
- Participate in activities that promote professional growth and self-development
- Perform duties within the appropriate scope of work allowed based on training, etc.
- Follow protocols as established by the direct supervisor
- Participate in meeting department goals for performance while learning
- Perform other duties as assigned
