Responsibilities
All Staff Sleep Technicians / Technologists / Respiratory Sleep Technologists report directly to this position. Supervisor provides all-encompassing oversight of all clinical staff to ensure each sleep diagnostic areas (Adult and Pediatric) provide the highest quality delivery of competent and efficient inpatient and outpatient sleep monitoring evaluations, meeting all AASM standards of Accreditation. Supervisor assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates clinical staff orientations as well as the development of educational programs and staff development. All while utilizing adult teaching and learning principles. Supervisor to demonstrate knowledge, skills and behaviors for all levels of sleep monitoring evaluations for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric customers, as appropriate, based upon specific criteria, and/or age specific considerations. Supervisor identifies opportunities for clinical improvement within department members and provides guidance to the team in order to attain and maintain expected clinical performance goals. Supervisor will also participate in providing input and assistance with annual performance evaluations.
Qualifications
Required:
- One year in sleep medicine
- One of: RPGST or RST or SDS
Desired:
- Three years management in a sleep medicine setting
- Associate Degree
- Polysomnographic Technologist OR Sleep Disorders Specialty (National) OR Registered Respiratory Therapist (National)
