Responsibilities
A leader within the Compliance & Audit Department in the areas of incident resolution and prevention, audit, policy development, risk assessment, regulatory research and work plan projects. The incumbent is responsible for management of assigned internal compliance investigations and audits, including but not limited to, those related to high risk activities such as coding, reimbursement and quality concerns; recommends and oversees corrective action plans and education. The incumbent will also assist with the review and resolution of conflict of interest, regulatory matters, and may assist with privacy related incident investigation or documentation. The incumbent is a critical-thinker, self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and perform independent research, factual analysis of compliance matters and create proposed solutions to root causes.
Qualifications
Required:
- Three years compliance programs, regulatory research, auditing, medical records investigations or policy/procedure development experience
- Bachelor Degree
- One of: CCEP, CHC, CHPC, CHRC or CPCO Must obtain within two years of hire
Desired:
- One year coding or Nursing experience, Three years project leader in Compliance Programs
- Certified Healthcare Research Compliance
- Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance
- Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional
- Certified Professional Compliance Officer
- Healthcare Information Security & Privacy Practitioner
