Responsibilities
In response to calls from emergency department, works in collaboration with patients and/or family, guardian or significant other to complete a thorough mental status evaluation, including collateral history and diagnostic impression using Axid I through V. Provides assessment results with the Psychiatry physician responsible for discussing impression and treatment options and apprises emergency department physician, ED staff and other appropriate individuals of any adverse changes in the patient's condition. Evaluates patient for appropriate referrals and disposition.
Qualifications
Required:
- One year social work in a pediatric environment
- Bachelor Degree
- One of: CSW, LCSW or RN
Desired:
- Master Degree
- Certified Social Worker OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker OR Registered Nurse OR Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
