Responsibilities
To facilitate the exchange of communication between a patient and a provider as verbatim as possible in consideration of cultural practices, context, slang, and linguistic variation. Interpreters may also inform the physician when a patient does not appear to demonstrate comprehension.
Qualifications
Required:
- 3 years of medical interpreting experience in a health care setting
- Must be bi-lingual
- Must have successfully completed a Medical Interpreter Program
