Responsibilities
Position provides daily supervision of coding staff. Assists with denials, keeping staff apprised of changes in CMS guidelines. Conducts audits and educates physicians and staff. Build professional relationships with practice managers and staff and act as a liaison for the coding department with all clinicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit records and provide ongoing education and training for providers and coding staff.
- Implement processes for new coding rules and guidelines.
- Liaison between coding department and the office sites; physicians, nurse practitioners, clinical managers/directors and staff.
- Accountable for leading coding staff to meet needs and expectations of NHC, including training, coaching and informing them of business needs and initiatives.
- Manage daily operations to ensure goals are met within the expectations of Norton Medical Group.
Qualifications
Required:
- With required Bachelor degree, three years of coding experience
- Without required Bachelor degree, 7 years of coding experience.
- Bachelor degree
- One of: Certified Coding Associate (CCA) OR Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) OR Certified Inpatient Coder ICD-10 (CIC-ICD) OR Certified Outpatient Coding (COC) OR Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
Desired:
- One year management.
