Responsibilities
The Genetic Counselor works with the Norton Medical Group Genetic Counseling Services practice. General responsibilities include: Collaborates with Norton Healthcare providers and service lines to evaluate and provide comprehensive genetic counseling to patients; Participates in all aspects of the Genetic Counseling Services including patient care, research, community outreach, and education; Provides timely documentation in electronic medical record systems and communicates results effectively to patients and referring providers as needed; Provides regular input and ideas for programmatic and personal growth and development; Participates in departmental meetings; Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Master Degree
- Certified Genetic Counselor
- Must obtain Certified Genetic Counselor (CGC) credential within 12 months of hire. AND One of: LGC or TLGC
Desired:
- One year genetic counseling
- Licensed Genetic Counselor OR Temporary Licensed Genetic Counselor
