Responsibilities
The Coordinator, Bereavement provides emotional, spiritual, and practical support to patients, families, and staff experiencing grief and loss within the hospital setting. This role ensures that bereavement services are delivered with compassion, cultural sensitivity, and clinical appropriateness. The Coordinator, Bereavement develops and implements bereavement protocols, facilitate staff education, and serves as a liaison between families and hospital services during end-of-life care and post-loss follow-up. The Coordinator, Bereavement also manages documentation and administrative processes related to bereavement care, ensuring compliance and continuity of support.
Qualifications
Required:
- Three years experience in grief counseling, hospice, palliative care, or acute care settings.
- Bachelor Degree
