The Business Manager, Norton Cancer Institute oversees the business operations of the oncology service line as directed by the service line Vice President. This position requires a strategic thinker with leadership skills and a deep understanding of the healthcare operations and revenue cycle processes, particularly in oncology. The Business Manager, Norton Cancer Institute drives business growth, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Key Accountabilities:
- Leads mid to large scale projects across the oncology service line related to performance improvement in patient access, experience, throughput/capacity, quality, expense management and revenue cycle operations. Collaborates with clinical and administrative staff to streamline operations and improve patient care processes.
- Prepares and presents detailed reports on departmental performance, including financial metrics, patient outcomes and operational efficiency as directed by the service line vice president. Conducts regular report outs to oncology leaders and stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges and areas for improvement.
- Develops and implements business strategies to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Analyzes market trends and identifies opportunities for growth and expansion; utilizes data analytics to identify trends, measure success and inform strategic decisions. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of business initiatives and make data-driven decisions.
- Optimizes infusion services by improving scheduling, reducing wait times and ensuring efficient use of resources. Implements best practices for infusion therapy to enhance patient safety and partners with clinical leaders to maximize treatment outcomes. Monitors throughput and maximizes business objectives including waste and expense management partnering with pharmacy and nursing teams.
Qualifications
Required:
- Two years experience in healthcare
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management or related field
