Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities: The Advance Practice Provider fellow provides healthcare to patients with an emphasis on disease prevention, health promotion, health maintenance and supportive care. This includes, but is not limited to, diagnosing, prescribing treatment, managing/evaluating patient care and functioning as an educator, healthcare resource, interdisciplinary consultant and patient advocate. The fellow will work collaboratively along with other providers within the service line to deliver high quality, patient-centered care. On occasion, the fellow may also rotate within other relevant service lines or specialties for learning opportunities and experiences. The fellow is jointly responsible for service to Norton Healthcare and Sullivan University with the expectation of completion of a major fellowship project and participation in training/lecturing at Sullivan University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences - Physician Assistant Program. This position is a 1 year, non-tenure fellowship with a focus on leaning and specialization in management of critically ill patients.
Qualifications
Required:
One year of clinical experience
Bachelor Degree
One of: APRN, PA or PAC
Desired:
One year in specialty area
Master Degree
National Nurse Practitioner OR Nurse Practitioner OR Registered Nurse
