Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to maximize efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, billing, coding accuracy, and financial reporting using systems like Dentrix Ascend.
- Supervise administrative staff and dental team members, providing leadership in human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA standards by maintaining accurate records and implementing best practices for data security.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to support dental/medical management activities including acute care procedures, utilization management, and managed care protocols.
- Monitor clinic performance metrics, implement process improvements, and oversee inventory control to ensure optimal resource utilization.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental office management or healthcare administration within a dental clinic setting.
- Strong supervisory skills with experience managing teams in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in dental practice management software Dentrix Ascend.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare regulations.
- Demonstrated fiscal management skills including budgeting, financial reporting, and billing processes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Background in dental administrative support or nursing is advantageous; experience in acute or critical care settings is beneficial.
