About Us:
We specialize in the installation, repair, and rebuilding of recycling equipment including industrial compactors and balers. Our work includes equipment rebuilds in our shop, installation at customer facilities, custom fabrication, basic motor controls, and troubleshooting of simple PLC-controlled equipment.
We are looking for a mechanically inclined technician who enjoys hands-on work and variety. Our technicians work on a mix of welding, mechanical repair, hydraulics, and basic electrical troubleshooting. This job is best suited for someone who enjoys diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems and figuring out how to get equipment running again.
What You’ll Do:
- Weld and fabricate equipment components
- Rebuild and refurbish compactors, balers, and related recycling equipment in our shop
- Install and set equipment at customer facilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, contactors, limit switches, and basic motor controls
- Work with simple PLC-controlled systems and operator controls
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic cylinders, hoses, pumps, and valves
- Perform mechanical repairs, equipment setup, and preventative maintenance
What We’re Looking For:
Strong mechanical aptitude
Experience in at least ONE of the following:
- Welding/fabrication
- Industrial maintenance
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Hydraulic systems
- Ability to read prints and schematics
- Willingness to learn cross-trade skills
- Comfortable working both in shop and in field
Bonus (Not Required):
- PLC troubleshooting experience
- Fabrication layout skills
- Forklift or rigging experience
