Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics with precision and care
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all dental tools are properly processed in accordance with infection prevention management policies
- Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques
- Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix , ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of medical documentation
- Support patient management by taking vital signs, explaining procedures clearly using dental terminology, and addressing patient questions to foster comfort and trust
- Maintain dental equipment including 3D scanners, dental sterilization procedures, and other clinical tools to ensure optimal functionality and safety
- Maintain light cleaning within the office 1x a week
- Collaborate seamlessly with the dental team to enhance efficiency during clinical procedures
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry but, will train the right candidate.
- MUST have or be working toward a dental assistant license
- Familiarity with dental assisting duties such as chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, and infection control protocols is essential
- Proficiency in using dental practice management software like Dentrix or Eaglesoft for scheduling, record keeping, and billing purposes
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and oral health enhances communication within the team and with patients
- Hands-on experience with dental x-ray techniques, oral surgery support, endodontic procedures, or prosthodontic treatments is advantageous
- Demonstrated understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices ensures compliance with clinical confidentiality policies

Pay: $26.21 - $31.57 per hour
