What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Assistant / CNA (AM & PM Position) position at Northwoods Memory Care Suites?
Northwoods Memory Care Suites is seeking compassionate and motivated individuals to join our team as Resident Assistants/CNAs. This position is ideal for high school seniors, college students, pre-nursing students, and those pursuing a career in healthcare who are looking to gain meaningful hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
As a family-owned memory care community, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care while fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop valuable caregiving skills, build relationships with residents, and gain experience that will serve as a strong foundation for future healthcare careers.
Schedule
- Evening shifts: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Day Shifts: 7:00am-3:00pm
- Minimum commitment of 2 shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- Flexible scheduling to accommodate school and extracurricular commitments
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with meal service and hydration
- Promote resident safety, comfort, and dignity
- Observe and report changes in resident condition
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare team members
Qualifications
- CNA certification preferred but not required
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must be able to speak, read, and communicate effectively in English
- Interest in healthcare, nursing, medicine, therapy, social work, or related fields
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude
- Reliable, professional, and eager to learn
