Job Summary
The PRN Cannabis Delivery Driver is responsible for the secure, compliant, and timely transportation of cannabis products between licensed facilities within the State of Ohio on an as-needed basis. This role is utilized to support regular operations during call-offs, PTO coverage, or increased delivery demand.
This position operates as part of a mandatory two-person crew, ensuring adherence to all state regulations, safety protocols, and chain-of-custody requirements. In addition to safe and timely transport, PRN drivers serve as representatives of the company during deliveries. As a primary point of contact for dispensary partners, drivers are expected to maintain a professional demeanor, communicate effectively, and uphold the company’s standards of quality, reliability, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport cannabis products between licensed facilities in full compliance with state regulations and company SOPs
- Always operate as part of a two-person delivery team (Driver Co-Driver/Transport Agent)
- Provide coverage for scheduled drivers during absences, PTO, or peak operational needs
- Maintain flexibility and availability to accept shifts on short notice when possible
- Serve as a professional representative of the company, fostering positive relationships with dispensary partners
- Deliver a consistent, courteous, and service-oriented experience that reflects the company’s brand and values
- Verify delivery manifests, product counts, and all required documentation at each stop
- Maintain strict chain-of-custody from departure through final delivery
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues promptly
- Ensure all transported products remain properly secured, sealed, and protected at all times
- Communicate clearly and proactively with dispatch, compliance teams, and receiving facilities
- Promptly report and document any discrepancies, delays, incidents, or compliance concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and professional personal appearance at all times
Compliance & Security Requirements
- Always maintain a two-person crew during transport (no solo transport permitted)
- Adhere to all Ohio cannabis transportation laws and regulations
- No unauthorized stops, detours, or deviations from planned routes
- Carry all required documentation (manifest, credentials, etc.) during transport
- Maintain strict confidentiality and product security at all times
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Driver history record will be reviewed
- Ability to pass state-required background check
- Previous delivery, logistics, or transportation experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to work a flexible, on-call schedule with varying hours
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods
- Comfortable working in various weather and road conditions
Work Environment
- Primarily on the road with statewide travel
- Interaction with licensed cannabis facilities only

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
