Join our dedicated team as a Day Advocate! Responsibilities
- Provide crisis intervention support to individuals and families facing challenging circumstances.
- Assist clients in understanding their rights and options within child protective services and family law contexts.
- Facilitate conflict management strategies to resolve disputes effectively.
- Collaborate with behavioral health professionals to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
- Offer guidance on childcare resources and child welfare services available in the community.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance advocacy skills.
- Attend Team Meetings on the first Thursday of each month, from 2 p.m. - 4p.m.
Qualifications
- Experience in social work or related fields is preferred, with a focus on children and families.
- Knowledge of crisis management techniques and behavioral health principles.
- Strong understanding of child protective services, family law, and child welfare systems.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation of client cases.
