We are looking for an experienced Loan Processor to join our Lending Department. This is an important role within our lending team, responsible for ensuring loans are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing
As an Experienced Loan Processor, you will manage the loan processing function from approval through closing and post-closing, ensuring loan files are complete, accurate, compliant, and ready to close.
Loan Processing & Documentation
Process consumer, residential, and/or commercial loan requests from approval through closing and post-closing, as applicable.
Prepare, review, and coordinate loan documentation accurately and efficiently.
Review loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with bank policies and applicable regulations.
Coordinate with lenders, customers, title companies, insurance agencies, and other third parties to obtain required documentation and information.
Conduct thorough pre-closing reviews and identify and resolve discrepancies or missing documentation.
Ensure loan terms, documentation, system information, and supporting documents are consistent and accurate.
Coordinate loan closings and ensure all required documents and conditions are satisfied prior to funding.
Process loan advances, payments, payoffs, rate changes, and other loan servicing transactions.
Complete required post-closing procedures, including obtaining final title work, recorded documents, insurance documentation, and other required items.
Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical loan files.
Loan Servicing & Administration
Process and maintain loan records throughout the life of the loan.
Monitor and follow up on outstanding documentation, exceptions, and post-closing requirements.
Prepare and distribute required loan notices and correspondence.
Review and resolve loan servicing discrepancies and make appropriate corrections.
Balance loan accounts and research and resolve discrepancies.
Assist lenders and customers with questions regarding loan documentation, payments, account information, and loan servicing.
Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive customer and financial information.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure loan processing activities are completed in accordance with bank policies, procedures, and applicable federal and state regulations.
Maintain a strong understanding of lending documentation and regulatory requirements applicable to loan processing.
Identify potential documentation, compliance, or processing issues and escalate concerns appropriately.
Assist with audits, examinations, and internal reviews as requested.
Team & Bank Support
Serve as a knowledgeable resource to lenders and other lending staff regarding loan processing and documentation.
Communicate proactively with team members to keep loans moving efficiently and avoid closing delays.
Assist with process improvements and identify opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Participate in bank-wide activities and initiatives as needed.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced lending professional who can step into the role with confidence and take ownership of the loan processing function.
The ideal candidate will have:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in banking, finance, or a related field is a plus.
3 years of loan processing, loan administration, or related lending experience preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of loan documentation, processing procedures, and lending practices.
Strong understanding of loan compliance and regulatory requirements.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with financial and legal documents.
Ability to independently manage multiple loan files and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues before they become problems.
Ability to work effectively with lenders, customers, title companies, insurance agencies, and other outside parties.
Proficiency with computer systems, Microsoft Office, and banking software.
A high level of professionalism, confidentiality, dependability, and accountability.
A commitment to providing exceptional service to both customers and internal lending partners.
