What are the responsibilities and job description for the Massage Therapist position at Northwoods Acupuncture & Wellness Center?
You're a Massage Therapist Because You Want to Help People.
Not because you want to spend your evenings marketing yourself.
Not because you enjoy collecting payments, managing schedules, chasing reviews, or wondering where your next client will come from.
You became a massage therapist because you love helping people feel better.
At Northwoods Acupuncture & Wellness Center, we handle the business side so you can focus on what you do best: caring for patients and then going home to your family at the end of the day.
If you're looking for a space where your clinical skills are respected, your schedule is supported, and your work genuinely makes a difference, we'd love to meet you.
About Us
Northwoods Acupuncture & Wellness Center has proudly served the Grand Rapids community for more than 16 years.
We help patients find lasting relief from chronic pain, stress, hormonal concerns, digestive issues, and other complex health conditions through acupuncture, massage therapy, red light therapy, and other wellness services.
Our patients don't just come here for appointments.
They come here for answers.
And they stay because they get results.
We're a collaborative team that believes great patient outcomes happen when providers work together.
What This Role Looks Like
As a Massage Therapist at Northwoods, you'll be an important part of each patient's care plan.
You'll work alongside acupuncturists and other wellness providers in a collaborative environment where communication and patient outcomes matter.

Focus on Patients, Not the Business
Unlike many massage therapy positions, you won't be responsible for building a business from the ground up.
Our clinic has been serving the community for more than 16 years and has an established reputation, active marketing, a dedicated front desk team, and a steady flow of patients seeking care.
That means you can spend your time doing what you trained to do—helping patients heal—instead of worrying about advertising, scheduling, billing, collecting payments, social media, or finding your next client.
You get to focus on being an excellent clinician. We take care of the rest.
Requirements
- Active Massage Therapy License in good standing
- Professional, compassionate bedside manner
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn clinic systems and procedures
- Three professional references
- Consent to a background check

Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
We hire for character, talent and professionalism and are happy to train the right person.
