Pool Bartender Seasonal

JOB SUMMARY 

Prepares beverages for outdoor pool guests in a prompt and courteous manner while maintaining the highest level of quality and consistency and in compliance with hotel, Marriott, and Forbes standards. This is a part-time, seasonal position. 

JOB DUTIES  

• Greets guests in a friendly and courteous manner as they approach the bar. 
• Takes orders for food and beverages, explaining menu items and drinks as needed. 
• Receives drink orders from servers. 
• Responds quickly to guests' requests and follows-up to ensure satisfaction. 
• Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare alcoholic beverages according to standardized recipes, ensuring proper portioning of products to control costs and provide consistency. 
• Pours and serves nonalcoholic beverages such as soda and water. 
• Rings up tickets using Micros point of sale system. 
• Sets up bar at the beginning of shift and maintains a clean and organized work area throughout shift. 
• Monitors guest behavior and alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service should cease. 
• Requisitions liquors and supplies. Verifies liquor, beer and wine inventory. 
• Completes requisition sheets and stores stock. 
• Obtains, counts, and secures bar bank, following proper money handling procedures.  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE  

• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Previous bartending experience with general knowledge of restaurant operations preferred 
• Must be 21 years of age  

SKILLS & ABILITIES 

• Excellent verbal communication  
• Excellent time management and organizational skills 
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills 
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, see, hear, talk, reach, bend, grasp and perform repetitive motions 
• Ability to push, pull, lift, carry or otherwise move up to 50 lbs. 
• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat, humidity, wind and rain
