Community Engagement Specialist
Northwood Health Systems is currently seeking a full-time Community Engagement Specialist. This role offers the opportunity to empower individuals to achieve greater independence, overcome barriers, and thrive in their communities. The Community Engagement Specialist (CES) provides support to adults living with psychiatric disabilities who have a history of or are at risk of involuntary commitment. This position connects individuals with community resources, provides direct support, and coordinates services that promote recovery, independence, and overall well-being while meeting the unique needs of each individual served. Community Engagement services identify, connect, and provide personal and community supports to individuals living with mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders. Successful applicants will be energetic, dependable, and committed to providing high-quality, person-centered care in a fast-paced environment. Frequent interaction with individuals served, along with a positive, caring attitude, is essential.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance is required
- 2 years of mental health or human services experience is required
- Must pass a background check
