We are searching for a Veterinary Technician to join our family owned and AAHA accredited small animal hospital.
Our practice is team and family focused with newly renovated facilities, digital radiograph (including full body and dental), IDEXX lab equipment and AVImark software.
Our hospital has been a part of the community for over 40 years. We are located near the shore of Lake Michigan. There are many opportunities for outdoor recreation including downhill skiing, hiking, biking, snowmobile trails, hunting, fishing and TONS OF BEAUTIFUL BEACHES!!!!!!!! Pretty much if you like being outside this is the place to be.

Responsibilities
- Provide routine and urgent medical care for companion animals, including exams, vaccinations, wound management, and diagnostic assistance under veterinarian supervision.
- Assist with procedures, prepare and maintain treatment areas, equipment, medications, and supplies; ensure sterile technique and proper record-keeping.
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures; communicate findings and care plans to clients with clear explanations and compassionate support.
- Manage client education on home care, medications, nutrition, and preventive health; schedule follow-ups and referrals as needed.
- Adhere to safety, ethics, and privacy guidelines while maintaining high standards of animal welfare.
Qualifications
- Licensed veterinary technician registered or licensed in the applicable state or country
- Proficiency in companion animal medicine and routine clinical procedures (ex: exams, vaccinations, minor diagnostics)
- Strong patient care, client communication, and teamwork abilities
- Experience with medical record keeping, anesthesia monitoring, and radiography basics is preferred
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment and maintain meticulous safety and sanitation standards
