Position Summary
Northwestern Settlement seeks a full-time Program Manager to oversee the Youth Intervention Pathways (YIP) program, funded by the Chicago Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS) and operated in partnership with the Chicago Police Department (CPD) and Chicago Public Schools (CPS). This role provides program leadership, supervises Service Coordinators, and serves as a key liaison with city agencies, schools, law enforcement, and community-based partners to support justice-involved and school-referred youth ages 10–21.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall program oversight and supervise YIP Service Coordinators.
- Maintain active collaboration with DFSS, CPD, CPS/OSSE departments, and community referral partners.
- Develop and manage referral pathways, including site visits, eligibility reviews, and updated partner contact lists.
- Coordinate regular communication with referral partners to ensure service access and share updates with Service Coordinators.
- Conduct monthly reflective supervision to support staff well-being, performance, and high-quality youth engagement.
- Ensure timely and accurate weekly data entry and review in Cityspan to monitor outcomes and identify service gaps.
- Facilitate youth feedback opportunities related to programming, referrals, and family engagement.
- Build strong working relationships with CPD patrol officers, youth detectives, and community policing staff to support diversion and deflection referrals.
- Engage CPS/OSSE partners (Attendance and Truancy, STLS, SOAR, etc.) to support school re-engagement efforts.
- Participate in DFSS-required data-driven meetings and professional development activities.
- Use City-funded directories and tools to identify and map services within the designated Service Area.

Qualifications:- Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with youth ages 10-21.

- Cultural competence and comfort working with law enforcement and school-based systems.
