Permanent Supportive Housing Specialist — Northwestern Ohio Community Action Commission (NOCAC)
Location: Northwestern Ohio
Schedule: 34 hours/week, Monday–Thursday (Full Year)
Pay: $19.40–$20.80/hour (based on educational qualifications)

We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Permanent Supportive Housing Specialist to help individuals experiencing homelessness find stability, build independence, and connect to critical community resources.
What You’ll Do
- Help individuals and families secure and maintain safe, affordable housing.
- Build relationships with local landlords, property managers, and community agencies.
- Connect clients with essential services — mental health, healthcare, employment, and financial supports.
- Use a Housing First approach that prioritizes dignity, client choice, and long-term stability.
- Maintain accurate case notes and data in the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS).
- Support clients in overcoming barriers to self-sufficiency and preventing evictions.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Social Work or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Experience or understanding of case management, social services, or housing resources.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
- Passion for helping others and creating lasting community impact.
