What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruiting & Development Coordinator position at Northwestern Mutual?
Role
Drive recruiting activity for the firm. Ownership of individual pipeline that includes sourcing and recruiting financial representatives. Build quality relationships both internally and externally to promote the Northwestern Mutual career opportunity and generate referrals. Work closely with the Managing Director and leadership team to conceptualize, design, and execute initiatives aimed at driving early productivity and revenue.
Responsibilities
•Focus on achieving individual contract goal to support the firm’s growth efforts.
•Own individual sourcing efforts (internal and external) to drive initial interviews
•Maintain quality relationships with candidates, advisors, and colleagues to build a referral-based culture to bolster the selection process.
•Shepherd candidates through the selection process by conducting initial interviews and coordinating other meetings with field leaders.
•Facilitate the onboarding curriculum and timeline for all new advisors taking them first acceptance to contract
•Assist contract and licensing department in the initial onboarding process
•Schedule, track, and monitor all advisor exams
•Create strategic systems across the district to drive early advisor development and revenue
•Track activity and production of under 5 advisors in firm documents
•Track as it relates to the administration of launch stipends
•Coach advisors in the first year on their inputs and outputs (Business Coaching)
•Advise the MD and leadership team on gaps and opportunities within the district
•Coordinate logistics for weekly and monthly development meetings for advisors
•Participate in leadership meetings

You could be right for this opportunity if you have:
- 4-year degree
- 5 years of work experience, preferably in business development
- History of success in sales, athletics, military, client services, or client-facing roles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex financial data
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain business relationships
- Excellent time-management skills
- Desire for continuous learning
- Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship
