What are the responsibilities and job description for the Military Veteran & Reservist Recruiter position at Northwestern Mutual?
At Northwestern Mutual Hawaiʻi, you’ll join a team that proudly serves veterans, reservists, and military spouses from every branch of service. Our firm offers integrated financial planning to individuals, families and businesses for every stage of life. Northwestern Mutual is a Fortune 100 company with offices all over the country. Our firm here in the heart of downtown Honolulu is proudly locally managed and we are empowered to make Hawaiʻi-centric decisions for our team of financial advisors and our clients.
We’re looking for a Veteran & Reservist Recruiter to help connect transitioning service members, reservists, and veterans to meaningful careers in financial services. In this role, you’ll be the bridge—guiding those who’ve served toward a profession where discipline, integrity, and purpose still define success. You’ll partner with leadership teams to design outreach strategies, strengthen relationships with military organizations, and guide candidates through the recruiting and onboarding journey.
This is a new strategy for our local office in Hawaiʻi, but it is not new for Northwestern Mutual. We will be learning from our partners on the mainland on how to increase our visibility on bases, communicate our value proposition, and attract and develop talent. As we build up to a dedicated role focused solely on the military market, this role will also work alongside our team of recruiters on candidates from other career backgrounds outside of the military.
