About the Role
The Financial Planning Assistant specializes in client service to ensure the maintenance of an efficient, organized practice that allows the Financial Advisor to focus their energy on building client relationships. The assistant is a liaison between the Home Office, Financial Advisor, and clients.
Responsibilities
- Handle case notes, process correspondence and maintain electronic case files
- File new statements, account forms and other insurance/investment-related materials
- Input data, create planning proposals and ensure Financial Advisor is prepared for client/prospect meetings
- Monitor Daily Status Report (DSR) and expedite any additional underwriting requirements
- Communicate with the client and Home Office as needed to supply or obtain information
- Complete, review, and submit insurance applications for completeness and accuracy
- Arrange medical, paramedical and any exams necessary for underwriting
- Process insurance service requests from clients (address changes, bank change information, loan requests, service inquiries)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience in administrative support, preferably in the financial services or insurance industry
- WI Health & Life licenses or willingness to obtain licensure within 6 months of employment

- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- High degree of initiative and organizational skills
- Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Continue insurance education through schools, academies, licenses, registrations, and designations
Pay range and compensation package
COMPENSATION is commensurate with experience. Open to discussing part-time opportunities as well.
