What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Advisor (Entrepreneurial Apprenticeship) | Fast-Track to CFP position at Northwestern Mutual?
Location: Philadelphia, PA (1818 Market St)
Type: Full-time | Performance-Based (Commission & Bonuses)
The Opportunity: Don’t Just Take a Job--Build a Practice.
Are you a high-performer who feels capped in a traditional "salary 3% raise" environment?
At Northwestern Mutual Philadelphia, we don't just hire employees; we develop owners. We are looking for driven professionals ready to transition into the world of sophisticated financial planning. This is an Apprenticeship-to-Partner model designed to give you the infrastructure of a Fortune 500 powerhouse with the autonomy of an entrepreneur.
The "Joint-Work" Apprenticeship
We recognize that the transition to a performance-based role requires elite mentorship. In this program, you aren't left on an island. You will:
• Partner with Tenured Advisors: For your first 12 months, you will work joint-cases with senior partners, learning "the craft" while sharing in the revenue.
• Fully Sponsored Licensing: We bridge the gap by sponsoring your Series 6, 7, 63, and Life/Health licenses.
• Fast-Track to CFP®: We provide full financial support and a roadmap for your CFP®, CLU®, and ChFC® designations.
Who You Are (The "Winner" Profile)
This role is specifically for individuals who prefer to bet on themselves. You have a track record of success—whether in competitive athletics, high-stakes sales, or corporate leadership—and you possess:
• Grit & Discipline: You thrive in competitive environments and have the "motor" to build a business from the ground up.
• Interpersonal Intelligence: You can command a room, build deep trust quickly, and simplify complex financial problems.
• The "Owner" Mindset: You aren't looking for a safety net; you’re looking for a platform where your income is capped only by your own activity and talent.
What You Will Do
• Build Your Book: Identify and cultivate high-net-worth relationships to build a sustainable, transferable practice.
• Holistic Planning: Create customized financial roadmaps involving investment, retirement, and risk management strategies.
• Lead: Transition into a leadership or specialist role within 2–3 years as you grow your team.
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a performance-based structure designed for those who want to reach the top 1% of earners.
• Top Early-Career Performers: $137k – $250k (First Year Potential).
• Residual Income: Build a recurring revenue stream that pays you for the life of your client relationships.
• Full Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement Plan, and Expense Allowances.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree (Preferred).
• Proven history of professional achievement.
• US Work Authorization (Required).
Salary : $90,000 - $250,000
