About the Internship:

The CFP™ Internship Career Building Experience is a 10-week summer internship designed for students pursuing a future in financial planning. This unique program combines hands-on experience, professional development, and industry exposure to help interns build practical skills while working toward a career as a Certified Financial Planner ™ Professional.

Interns will gain direct experience supporting a recruiting firm while participating in a structured learning experience that blends education with real-world application. The program is intended to strengthen technical planning knowledge, expand industry networks, and provide meaningful exposure to financial planning profession.

What You’ll Do:

As a CFP™ intern, you will:

• Work directly with a financial planning firm approximately 20 hours per week
• Support planning related projects and business initiatives
• Gain experience that may count towards hours for your CFP certification pathway
• Participate in professional development sessions
• Attend leadership speaker series and networking opportunities
• Collaborate with peers and professionals across the financial planning field
• Take part in social and team building events
• Contribute to a showcase project/capstone style presentation at the end of the internship
• Present key learnings and recommendations to leaders at the home office
