Recruiting Intern - Summary
As a Recruiting Intern at Northwestern Mutual, you'll play an important role in growing our district office team. You will partner closely with the recruiting team to select top talent for a career in financial advising.

Primary Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with candidates at each step of the selection process.
- Assist in coordinating and attending community events and campus career fairs.
- Schedule and reschedule interviews as needed.
- Prepare recruiting activity and tracking reports.
- Source resumes from job boards and create referral lists using social media platforms (LinkedIn, really).
- Utilize the applicant tracking system to update the candidate database.
- Source potential candidates on LinkedIn who match the ideal profile.
- Attend recruiting team meetings for continued development.
- Conduct phone screenings and initial interviews for candidates interested in a career at Northwestern Mutual.
- Assist in coordinating any onsite events or meetings.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor's or master's degree. Major in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Psychology, or Education preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with candidates and team members.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proactive mindset with excellent research skills and relationship management abilities.
