What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Planning Services Intern position at Northwestern Mutual and Careers?
This is a unique opportunity in the Network Office of Northwestern Mutual - Twin Cities. In this role, you will be a part of the Financial Planning Services (FPS) team, where you will learn our operational and financial planning processes to help support our financial advisors build successful practices.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Interpret and input client information into financial planning software·
- Complete trade tickets for submission to Operations department
- Assist with service-related tasks for client investment accounts
- Assign tasks to team members as requested
- Create Investment Policy Statements for investment advisory accounts using Envestnet
- Provide Morningstar reports for client portfolios
- Tackle any other service and operational tasks that surface with help from teammates
Qualifications
Required
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well with others
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and reliability with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance and/or equivalent work experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
