What are the responsibilities and job description for the Private Pay Collections Specialist position at NORTHWEST RESPIRATORY SERVICES LLC?
Northwest Respiratory Services is a leading provider of oxygen & respiratory products throughout the Midwest & Northern Rockies. Working from our Eagan, MN office, we are currently in search of a seasoned Private Pay Collections Specialist.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Work assigned reports, dashboards, and aging queues daily

Manage AR of private pay accounts across all aging buckets (current, 30/60/90 days)

Within 24 hours (or otherwise timely manner):

Make collection calls to patients and/or their families

Respond to collection calls from patients and/or their families

Identify correct responsible party, insurance and make corrects to invoices

Work aged receivables
-
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies

Meet individual and department goals

Utilize Brightree software

Key Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of collections experience, preferably in DME/HME or medical
- Well versed in medical insurance and terminology
- Great communication skills written and verbal, contacting insurances, facilities, patients, etc.
- Work individual feedback sessions, staff meetings and annual training and/or competency tests
