Private Pay Collections Specialist

Northwest Respiratory Services is a leading provider of oxygen & respiratory products throughout the Midwest & Northern Rockies. Working from our Eagan, MN office, we are currently in search of a seasoned Private Pay Collections Specialist.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work assigned reports, dashboards, and aging queues daily

• Manage AR of private pay accounts across all aging buckets (current, 30/60/90 days)

• Within 24 hours (or otherwise timely manner):

  • Make collection calls to patients and/or their families

  • Respond to collection calls from patients and/or their families

• Identify correct responsible party, insurance and make corrections to invoices

• Work aged receivables

• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies

• Meet individual and departmental goals

• Utilize Brightree software

Key Qualifications: 

• 1-2 years of collections experience, preferably in DME/HME or medical 
• Well versed in medical insurance and terminology 
• Great communication skills written and verbal, contacting insurance carriers, facilities, patients, etc. 
• Work individual feedback sessions, staff meetings, and annual training and/or competency tests
