NWRII programs and services include: Inpatient and Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Treatment, Outpatient Mental Health Treatment, Psychiatric Medication Management, Primary Care, Intensive Case Management, Housing Case Management, Jail Re-Entry Case Management and Primary Care services.
Position: Inpatient Treatment Attendant (on call)
Reports To: Inpatient Clinical Supervisor
Supervises: None
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Document patient activities, behavior and response to care each shift with clear communication to the treatment team of all events, concerns and/or duties needing completion.
- Complete the admission process consistent with Northwest Resources II, Inc. policies and procedures.
- Conduct thorough searches of belongings and separate contraband and medications from belongings.
- Facilitate patient activities to include meals, recreational activities, crafts and medication needs and support patients in following the treatment schedule.
- Monitor the patient milieu, guests and family to include behavior, participation, health and safety, documenting hourly observation of each patient.
- Interact and intervene with patients constructively and consistently, in line with the treatment philosophy, policies and procedures and the individual treatment plan.
- Alert colleagues and the Administrator in the event of emergencies, unmanageable inappropriate behavior, threats to safety, health and/or security.
- Complete incident reports as indicated and directed by policies and procedures.
- Observe patients self-administer medication and accurately document the time and dosage as per instructions.
- Record and report all medication concerns to include patient concerns and observations or concerns regarding patient health status.
- Facilitate patient discharge documentation as per Northwest Resources II, Inc. discharge lists. Ensure all documentation, medication, valuables, etc. are provided to the patient upon completion.
- File all essential documentation appropriately as per Northwest Resources II, Inc. policies and procedures.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient records and communications.
- Maintain professional boundaries as outlined by Northwest Resources II, Inc. policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum one-year freedom from misuse of alcohol and drugs.
- Subscribes to the philosophy of total abstinence for recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction.
- Understands the philosophy, steps, and traditions of A.A. and related 12-Step programs.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Washington State Driver License.
- Ability to obtain Food Handler Card within 30-days of hire.
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Card within 30-days of hire.
- Demonstrates ethical and professional behavior.
