The Bookkeeper will maintain NWRII’s financial records, including purchases, sales receipts and payments. The Bookkeeper’s job duties include working closely with the Financial Manager and Accounting Firm to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices for accurate tax payments. The ideal candidate holds a Finance degree and is familiar QuickBooks and Microsoft products, particularly Excel. A familiarity with Electronic Health Records would be beneficial. Ultimately, the Bookkeeper’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process

· Verify that transactions are recorded in QuickBooks and pertinent spreadsheets.

· Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial accounts.

· Prepare and issue invoices, receipts, and payment records.

· Maintain organized financial files and documentation.

· Support tax preparation and audits by providing required financial information.

· Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.

· Collaborate with accountants and management to resolve financial discrepancies.

· Bring the books to the trial balance stage

· Perform partial checks of the posting process

· Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements

· Process accounts receivable and payable in a timely manner

· Assist with Budget development and management

· Learn duties of Patients Account Coordinator and assist when needed.

· Assist with answering phones, scheduling clients and assisting front desk as needed.

· Other duties as assigned by the Financial Director and NWRII Administrators.

REQUIREMENTS:

· High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

· Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.

· Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.

· Proficiency in bookkeeping principles and financial reporting.

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.

· Effective communication and time management skills.

· Excellent customer service skills

· Applicants shall always conduct themselves ethically and professionally, adhering to the agency Code of Ethics.

· A knowledge of substance use disorder/chemical dependency and its effects on individuals, families, and communities is required. Applicants are expected to subscribe to the philosophy of total abstinence for recovered and recovering alcoholics or addicts. Applicants shall have no history or evidence of alcohol or other drug misuse for a period of two years immediately prior to the date of employment and while employed.

· Applicants must be of the conviction that substance use disorder/chemical dependency is a treatable illness and constitutes a public health problem.

· Applicants must sign an oath of permanent confidentiality covering all patient-related information.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
