Team Manager

Northwest Registered Agent
Dover, DE Full Time
POSTED ON 6/9/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 8/9/2026

Northwest Registered Agent, a leader in the registered agent and corporate filings industry, is growing and we’re hiring a hands-on people leader to manage our Corporate Filings team. This role is for someone who enjoys leading people, not just managing work.

You’ll oversee a team of 8–12 experienced filers who handle state-level business filings for our clients. While you’ll become knowledgeable in Delaware filings and our internal systems over time, technical expertise is not required on day one. What matters most is your ability to coach, develop, and hold people accountable.

This role is accountable for setting and upholding clear standards, empowering team members to own their work and decisions, and ensuring consistency in how filings are completed, reviewed, and communicated.

Although this role works directly with our Site Manager, a passive or hands-off management style will not work here. Success in this role requires being present, giving clear direction, running consistent 1:1s, and having direct performance conversations when needed.

If you’ve led a team before (or are ready to step into a true people-management role) and want to grow as a leader, this is a strong opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • People Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 8–12 Corporate Filings specialists through regular 1:1s, feedback, and performance conversations
  • Set clear expectations around quality, accountability, and professional behavior, and address performance issues early and directly
  • Build trust with a strong-willed, experienced team through consistency, presence, and follow-through
  • Create individual development plans and support growth, skill-building, and readiness for increased responsibility
  • Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and mutual respect, where team members are empowered to make decisions within defined standards and held accountable for outcomes
  • Operations & Quality Oversight
  • Own and enforce filing quality standards, ensuring work is completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with state and company requirements
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex filings or client issues, guiding resolution and decision-making
  • Monitor team performance using audits, metrics, and data, and take action to improve quality and efficiency
  • Partner with the Site Manager on staffing, onboarding, scheduling, and workforce planning
  • Cross-Functional & External Collaboration
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams regarding filings updates, process changes, and operational needs
  • Support working relationships with Delaware state agencies and external partners
  • Learn and stay current on filings rules, regulations, and internal systems, ensuring documentation and training materials are accurate and up to date
  • Support the rollout of new tools, workflows, and company initiatives with clear communication and steady leadership
  • Client Interaction
  • Respond to client inquiries by phone and email as needed, clarifying filing requirements and coordinating resolution with internal teams and state agencies while meeting SLAs and putting clients first

Qualifications

  • Proven people leadership experience (formal or informal), including coaching, feedback, and performance management
  • Comfortable leading both new and experienced team members with strong personalities and opinions, and confident having direct conversations
  • Willing and able to learn technical filings knowledge on the job and become a subject matter expert over time
  • Clear, professional communicator who can explain complex information in a calm, approachable way
  • Strong sense of ownership and follow-through; you don’t wait to be told what to fix
  • Organized, detail-aware, and able to balance people leadership with operational responsibilities
  • Adaptable and resilient in a fast-moving environment with changing priorities
  • Experience in SOS filings, compliance, legal services, or registered agent work is a plus but not required
