Nurse Practitioner / Sleep Medicine
This position works in collaboration with physicians to provide complete physical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of chronic sleep disorders.
Nurse Practitioner will have a panel which includes patients initially evaluated by a Sleep physician and those which the Nurse Practitioner has independently performed the initial evaluation of the sleep disorder. Our team works collaboratively in a supportive environment where the physician is always an available resource.
Responsibilities:
- Assesses the physical condition of patients by performing physical examinations including ordering, interpreting and evaluating diagnostic tests and obtaining medical histories.
- Formulates the medical plan and prognosis based on patient's condition.
- Consults with physician(s) regarding patient health care plans and treatment.
- Establishes and documents the health care plan and prognosis, maintaining records of each case and evaluates the effectiveness of the plan.
- Determines when the patient has recovered from the disorder and releases the patient.
:Education: As required by licensure.
Experience: Clinical experience requirements with Sleep Medicine.
This is a part time position - Wednesday/ Friday - Contract rate per RVU visits
