We are searching for an Accounting Controller with experience in the manufacturing industry. In business for more than thirty years, we are a single owner LLC with less than fifty employees, that manufacturers precast concrete products throughout the pacific northwest (Washington, Oregon, and Idaho). We value quality, loyalty and hard work and are looking for someone who is adept at accounting and all aspects of financial operations of small manufacturing businesses.
The Controller will report directly to the CEO of the company and will be responsible for overseeing all facets of the accounting and finance for the organization. This role requires a detail-oriented and analytical individual with strong interpersonal skills. Experience in manufacturing and intimate familiarity with insurance, tax, are highly desirable as are verifiable track-record of good character and advanced competency in all facets of this role.
What You Will Do
- Record daily financial transactions and update the general ledger.
- Prepare and process accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Maintain and organize financial documents for taxation compliance.
- Generate financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare budget variance reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
- Collaborate with accountants for year-end closing and audits.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
- Communicate financial metrics to the team and CEO.
- Manage the preparation and processing of payroll for personnel.
What You Should Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.
- Notary highly desirable.
- Experience with financial report writing and analysis
- Excellent analytical skills
- Mastery in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
