Full-Time Driver/Activities Assistant-Northwest Place

You must have superb communication skills, be REALLY reliable (it disappoints the residents when you are a no-show). Resilience, flexibility and willingness to learn are essential.

Core responsibilities:

• Operate Company's 15-passanger vehicle to transport residents on outings/Dr. appointments.
• Help the Director plan, prepare and implement a creative activities, outings and programs that enrich our resident’s lives.
• Help the Director provide a dynamic and effective fitness program by leading exercise classes and engaging residents in multi-faceted wellness activities.
• Help the Director to develop newsletter content, flyers, activity calendars, one-pagers, and other collateral material that support resident/family/staff awareness and engagement.
• Promote participation in activities and help foster social connectedness between residents.
• Demonstrate superior customer service while developing rapport with residents, visitors and coworkers.
• Learn the programs/activities industry and best practices in senior wellbeing and how the pieces of the puzzle fit together.
• Proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with all support roles at the community.

• MUST be a team player!
• Must be able to safely drive 15-passanger non-CDL bus.
• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Insatiable appetite for learning – this is a COMPLEX industry with a lot of moving parts - what you learn in this job will set you up for success!
• A passion for holistic well-being, willingness and ability to lead exercise classes for residents (training will be provided).
• An inquisitive mind - the best people for this role simply ask the best questions and genuinely want to help find optimal solutions for residents!
• Impeccable communication abilities – both written and oral.
• Outgoing personality! You have to enjoy – truly enjoy –interacting with people in all mediums (via e-mail, phone, and face-to-face).
• Resourcefulness – ability to work independently when needed AND as a member of collaborative team.
• Above-average skills in the Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PPT, and Outlook.
