Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician I to join our manufacturing facility team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of equipment and systems to ensure smooth operations. Your proactive approach and technical expertise will help minimize downtime, improve efficiency, and uphold safety standards across the facility. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in industrial maintenance while contributing to a dynamic production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and electrical components.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics, blueprints, and engineering troubleshooting techniques.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to identify faults accurately.
  • Read electrical blueprints and schematics to diagnose problems and implement repairs effectively.
  • Operate field service equipment including scissor lifts and forklifts safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on troubleshooting complex issues and implementing improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to high voltage, low voltage, HVAC/R systems, and welding procedures including welding standards.
  • Support emergency repairs and respond promptly to equipment failures to minimize production disruptions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety regulations.

Experience

  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing facility or industrial maintenance environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrician practices, electrical diagnostics, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and engineering troubleshooting methods.
  • Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management is advantageous.
  • Practical knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC/R systems, welding (including welding), and mechanical repairs.
  • Ability to operate high voltage equipment safely along with low voltage systems.
  • Experience with industrial mechanic tasks such as analysis skills for troubleshooting machinery issues.
  • Field service experience involving customer service skills is a plus.
  • Military background or technical training in related fields can be beneficial for this role.
