NwOESC Paraprofessional - Full-time- Patrick Henry Local School (Henry County); beginning with the 2022-23 school yearQUALIFICATIONS (partial list): High school diploma or equivalent.FBI and BCI background checks required.Hold or be qualified to obtain an Ohio Department of Education Educational Aide Permit.Ability to learn skills appropriate for the position.Demonstrated maturity and the ability to work with students with special needsDESCRIPTION: A paraprofessional supports students in meeting their educational goals, under the supervision of the classroom teacher; performs a variety of educational and support services to help achieve productive learning experiences; provides guidance and encouragement to help students pursue their intellectual, social, and emotional potentials; promotes the inclusion of students with disabilities into regular classrooms and school activities; recognizes each professional contact as an opportunity to promote a positive impression of the educational service center. This position will be with a program for elementary students identified with multiple disabilities.LOCATION: Patrick Henry Local Schools Elementary (2022-23 school year)CONTRACT: Per 2022-23 school calendarSALARY: Per salary schedule based on experienceBENEFITS: Paid sick leave and personal days. Health, dental, vision and life insurance are available if working over 25 hours/week.
