Description of Position
The Director of Academic Growth and Student Success provides strategic leadership for advancing enrollment growth, strengthening student success, and supporting the continued development of NNU eCampus. This role builds on established systems and shifts the focus toward expansion, innovation, and partnership development while ensuring a high-quality, student-centered experience. The Director oversees operational development and leads the Pathway Coordinators, coordinating efforts to support students from onboarding through graduation. In addition, this role works closely with the Associate Vice President and institutional stakeholders to identify opportunities for program growth, develop external partnerships, and expand pathways into NNU eCampus programs. This position requires a balance of relational leadership and strategic thinking, with a strong emphasis on innovation, collaboration, and scalable approaches to student success and enrollment growth.
Essential Functions
- Supervises and supports the Pathways Coordinators and the Customer Service and Schedule Coordinator (as they are hired).
- Advances innovation in student support strategies and program delivery to improve student retention and persistence (success).
- Enhances student success processes and engagement, including onboarding, persistence, and completion, with a focus on improving retention and overall student outcomes.
- Collaborates with the Associate Vice President and key stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that support enrollment growth and program expansion.
- Identifies, develops, and maintains partnerships with community colleges to build strong transfer pipelines into NNU eCampus programs.
- Strategically designs and curates the organizational partnership’s workforce journey, including continuing education, internships, and degree completion.
- Contributes to strategic planning efforts by providing insight into enrollment trends, student needs, and opportunities for program innovation.
- Collaborates with campus partners (financial aid, registrar, student accounts, Nighthawks 360, enrollment, etc.) to ensure a cohesive and student-centered experience. • Develop and manage course schedules and maintain the PS catalog in partnership with the registrar.
- Liaises with the PSAC to ensure that programs are systematically assessed using meaningful indicators for program effectiveness and achieve stated student learning outcomes for all students (SLO).
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in education, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience in higher education with a focus on program development and student success.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to improve student outcomes and contribute to institutional growth initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Terminal degree in business, education, leadership, or a related field.
- Experience working with adult learners and non-traditional students.
- Familiarity with higher education systems and processes.
- Knowledge of student success strategies and resource coordination.
Compensation
Salary is determined based on educational background and experience.
