We’re looking for the right candidate to take our digital content accounts to the next level.
As an SEO Copywriter, you will be part of our company’s Marketing department. You will work closely with our Marketing Manager, Social Media Specialist, and web development team to deliver SEO blog content, SEO website copy, landing pages, whitepapers, and company documents. In this position, you’ll expand your copywriting and SEO skills and knowledge. You will manage several blogs for a variety of client accounts at once. On an ad hoc basis, you will lead copywriting meetings with website clients and write website copy.
NW Media Collective is based in Vancouver, WA, but we do not have a physical office. All employees are 100% remote. You can work from anywhere in the world, as long as you have residency in Oregon or Washington and can attend team meetings 9AM-12PM Pacific Time.

Social Media & Content Specialist Duties:
- Lead the content strategy and execution of blog and website content for multiple accounts
- Conduct keyword research and SERP analyses to create:
- SEO blog editorial calendars
- SEO website content
- Landing pages
- Edit, optimize, and publish blog and website content using WordPress
- Work with clients to co-create blog content
- Lead client copywriting meetings
- Regularly liaise with clients regarding blog content and publication
- Draft and edit whitepapers and company documents as needed
- Use AI (ChatGPT) to expedite copywriting activities
General Duties:
- Work collaboratively across departments
- Communicate with clients
- Support process improvement initiatives that improve internal organization and client relationships
- Participate in professional development opportunities
Essential skills:
- At least one year of SEO copywriting experience
- Experience using WordPress (especially publishing blog content, writing meta descriptions and page titles)
- Experience using SEMrush, Google Trends, and MOZ
- Knowledge of SEO tools like RankMath or Yoast
- Able to produce clear, concise, highly readable, and error free copy
- Able to write technical content for clients in healthcare or manufacturing industries
- Basic design skills
- Client-facing experience and ability to lead client meetings (including presentations and communicating complex information in a simple manner to clients)
- Client management experience (approval outreach and meeting follow up)
- Be the subject matter expert of SEO and copywriting practices and be a thought leader to the Marketing team
- Stay up-to-date with new SEO trends and industry news and share throughout the team
- General understanding of web development and UX design
Desirable skills:
- Agency experience
- Graphic design or video editing experience
- Experience working with project management tool ClickUp
