Purchasing Specialist Kent, WA | Full-Time |$28.00-$37.00 per hour DOE (Competitive pay based on experience)

Join us in a hands-on role where your work directly impacts our success—optimizing inventory, securing the best vendor deals, and ensuring timely deliveries to job sites across the region.
What You'll Do (And Why It Matters):
Assist with quarterly physical inventories and routine cycle counts, reconcile records.
- Manage inventory with precision: Conduct cycle count inventory management, Excel data analysis, and Logistics Management. Reconcile records, and propose improvements to maintain optimal stock levels, to avoid shortages while minimizing costs.
- Drive smart purchasing: Analyze needs, source quality foreign and domestic products, negotiate pricing/terms/freight, and build strong vendor relationships to get the best value by means of either Cargo, Rail, Truck, or Fleet.
- Coordinate seamless logistics: Arrange cost-effective shipping, track deliveries, and support our construction teams with on-time arrivals.
- Collaborate daily: Work closely with our president, controller, warehouse manager, sales, and project teams to support smooth operations and quick problem-solving.
- Generate insights: Create reports and identify opportunities for process enhancements in our fast-paced environment.
What We're Looking For:
- 3 years of experience in inventory, purchasing, and logistics best practices.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and comfort with math/negotiation.
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting/inventory software.
- Excellent communication and customer service mindset—you will be our go-to for internal and external coordination.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented setting.
