What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Assistant position at Northwest Laborers-Employers Training Trust?

The individual will work in the office area, schedule appointments, give and receive information from callers, complete data entry and retrieval and execute administrative functions of a non-profit organization by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Reads and routes incoming mail. Locates and attaches appropriate file to correspondence and directs to the appropriate person.
  • Composes and types routine correspondence.
  • Organizes and maintains files system, and files correspondence and other records.
  • Answers phones and/or re-direct phone calls, and screens manager's phone calls.
  • Coordinates students, apprentice's and other staff schedules/appointments
  • Greets scheduled and unscheduled visitors or guests and conducts to appropriate area or person.
  • Conducts research, and compiles and types statistical reports.
  • Coordinates and arranges meetings, prepares agendas, reserves and prepares facilities, and records and transcribes minutes of meetings.
  • Makes copies of correspondence or other printed materials.
  • Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes.
  • Orders and maintains supplies, and arranges for equipment maintenance.
  • Performs other clerical functions and duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $29.18 per hour
